Financial Freedom, as well sought after investment objective whereby the passive income is greater than expenses and we no longer need to depend on work income for daily living. The question is this, how do we generate passive income?

Dividend Portfolio is the answer!

In this course, participants will learn how to design an investment process for passive income. When carries out over long term, the participant will have a dividend portfolio capable of generating regular income!

Learning Outcome

Just like a recipe for baking, this course will bring the participants through the steps one should take to build a dividend portfolio. At the end of the workshop, learners would: .

1. Have a step-by-step guide they could follow to build a dividend portfolio
2. Understand the rationale of the investment process and why it will work
3. Be able to:

1. • Perform business analysis and select suitable companies for their investment
   • Read financial statement to assess they financial health of the company
   • Carry out valuation exercise and have an opinion on whether the stocks are cheap or expensive

4. Have an overview of the REITs, one of the key instruments for dividends

• The science of probability
• The law of large number
• Setting expectations: Understand the likely outcome of the process

Learning Unit 2: Business Analysis

• Corporate profile: how does the business generate revenue?
• Competition analysis:

• • Can the company survive the competition?
  • Can the company survive the current technological revolution?

• Growth analysis

• • What is the growth plan of the company?
  • Is the environment conducive for the company’s growth? 

Learning Unit 3: Financial Statement Analysis

• Components of financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, cashflow statement
• Profit and revenue analysis
• Financial ratio analysis

• • Is the company financially healthy?

Learning Unit 4: Pricing Analysis

• Price earnings ratio analysis
• Price to book analysis
• Dividend yield analysis 

Learning Unit 5: Understanding REITs

• Overview of the REITs market
• REITs analysis process

Trainer’s Profile

Chua I-Min, CFA is a full-time investment trainer. He conducts regular classes for the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) Academy in fundamental analysis, stock valuation, REITs and property stocks investments. He has since clocked in 10 years of investment training experience.

Cancellation of a registration must be made in writing at least 10 business days before the event and a refund (less platform administrative fee) will be made. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 10 business days.
